The continuous industrial action by ASUU, has brought to fore again the decay in our countries administration and the reason for importations of workforce by our indegenious companies.
Everyday our tertiary institutions go on strike and likewise the basic and secondary institutions of learning, and the GOvernment has never tried working towards ending this occurrence which now seems like a part of our academic timetable as we see it occur every academic session send many students who are to be in school learning to wander about doing nothing useful to ther academic development. Some especially the girls resort to prostitution to ward off boredom
and the boy are not left out because most of them begin to join different gangs to be busy, gangs like Smoking clubs(Indian hemp), fraud gangs (yahoo yahoo), rapes hub ( that rapes girls), stealing , and cultism. They return with a lot of vices to school when eventually academics starts.

Then comes the issue of academics which is usually rushed by the lecturers or left at the mercy of students to read on there own instead of been guided by lectures. And at the end of it all the manage to mingle out of this system of learning and jump straight to the labour market that is already weak and filled with a lot of educated illiterates who wants jobs to be able to feed, but who will either contribute to crashing establishments or if good make it stagnant.
The government then cries of unemployment forgetting that if they have done or are doing what they should do that the supposed unemployed would have been job creators and policy makers but because no one expects to eat a half baked bread and feel alright, the unemployed Nigerians come out of schools sometimes worse than the uneducated who understand thier deficiency and are working hard to cover up and they expect so much while having nothing to give in return.
And funny enough as we complain of unemployement people who could afford foreign education, who went even to our neighbors Togo or Ghana come back and are been sought for by employees who trust that they can deliver more than those we produce in our strike prone or strike destroy institutions are neglected or even employed to serve their counterpart from other countries well administered institutions. And this is becoming same thing with those who could afford private university education in Nigeria as the are now been considered to parade a more healthy certificates than those who embrace Government ill administered institutions.
We need to work towards achieving a system were strike will be taught as history and we our products are seen as good enough or even equivalent to what we import in our work places. As employees are still going to be afraid of bringing and habouring time bombs in various establishments.
Let all concerned come together and draft a good framework for our progress.
